With the holidays approaching every parent out there is debating on whether or not this is the year to give in to there child and surprise them with a puppy .Just think how surprised our baby will be when he sees a puppy come out of a box or from under the tree!. He's been asking for so long and he's been so good. Don't forget he promised to talk care of the new puppy too. Does this Sound familiar?
Before you say yes to this hopefully at least 15 year commitment, please do your homework. Puppies need lots of time and attention. They are almost like having a new born baby. They will pee and poop all over the place. They will cry when you leave them. They will bite and chew. They will require at least 3 vet visits and that's if they don't come home with kennel cough or some other puppy sickness.
If you still want a puppy after knowing all that you still need to do more homework. Every breed is different. Example:Yorkies are hyper,
Beagles and Dachsunds are chewers, Shitzus and Maltese are high maintenance with there monthly groomers, Bulldogs usually need lots veterinary care.
Every year after Christmas the A.S.P.C.A. and all other shelters are overloaded with these pups. Please don't let your well meaning gift become another statistic.
